My name is Parker Hanley and I am 22 years old. I am from San Francisco, California, and I currently live and learn in Boulder, Colorado. I am a 4th year student at CU Boulder and I am an Art Practices major. I like doing all sorts of art including sewing, character building, drawing, painting, photography, making videos, and I like to think of myself as someone who will try to make my ideas come to life even if I initially don't know how. Youthfulness, human connection with animals, and infinite possibility are ideas that inspire a lot of my artwork. Some themes in my artwork are color, bunnies, stars, and colored hair on my characters. I focus mainly on making clothing, and many of my drawings, photographs, videos, and animations revolve around my fashion designs. Many of my fashion designs revolve around characters I've created through a drawing, painting, or digital creation. I believe that fashion is much more than designing clothing, and when I partner the clothing I make with other forms of art, particularly forms of digital art, I can build more of a world and express my ideas and concepts with more dimension. I began digital art when I was introduced to photoshop and adobe creative cloud at my high school photography class. My high school photography teacher has been a massive inspiration to me. He always pushed me to throw myself into my artwork in all forms and encouraged me to involve other areas of my art practices in my photograph making.
